Teen Read Week
Join thousands of teens around the nation to celebrate “Teen Read Week,” October 16-22. This year’s theme is “Picture it at Your Library” which encourages teens to seek out creative books or imagine the world through the lens of literature.
Why is it important to celebrate? For a lot of reasons. Teens have so many options for entertainment, so it is important to remind them to spend time reading for pleasure. It’s free, fun and can be done anywhere. In fact, research shows that teens who read for fun have better test scores and are more likely to succeed in the workforce. So visit the library to find a great selection of books and other materials and develop a lifelong love for reading.
Don’t forget to join the young adult discussion group, Grim Readers for their October meeting and all year-round as teens from the community come together to discuss their love for reading.
Free legals services with Attorney Stephen Greibel on Wednesday, October 12 from 5-6 p.m. focusing on Custody Modification. And on the 26th, the focus will be on Support Modification.
