Children’s Ornament Decorating Contest
The library is having an ornament decorating contest for children ages 12 and under. This year the ornaments will be used to decorate the library Christmas tree and will then be donated to bring Christmas cheer to others for years to come. Ball ornaments are available to be picked up from the CPL front desk and must be returned by Saturday, December 18. The contest will not be judged by skill; instead children who complete the contest will have their names entered into a drawing. Three fun holiday prizes will be given away based on age group (four and under, five – eight years and nine to 12 years). Only one entry per child is allowed. Drawing will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 18.
Toys for Tots
This holiday season, the Churubusco Public Library will be collecting donations for Toys for Tots. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the library and placed under the Christmas tree until Wednesday, December 15. All donations will be given to the Toys for Tots foundation who will distribute the toys to children in need who may not otherwise receive a gift this Christmas. This year remember the reason for the season and give a donation to a child less fortunate.

The Adult Discussion Group will be meeting Thursday, December 16 at 10 a.m. Join the group this month as they share some Christmas spirit by discussing any Christmas book (Group discussion is led by board member, Harold Norman).
