Smith-Green School Board member Steve Edwards turned in his resignation during Monday night’s regular meeting.
Edwards, voted to the Board during the last election representing District 2, was only in his first year when he decided that due to scheduling conflicts he no longer could fulfill his duties.
Board Vice-President Cathy Petrie read the letter and accepted his resignation as of August 4. She thanked Edwards for his time on the Board and wished him the best. “We enjoy having his kids in the district,” she said.
