She is afraid of him and his family. I advised her to keep a log of any threats or unnecessary drive-bys and to call us if she needed to. 1850 U11 Subject in station whose daughter was involved in an accident in Marion with an uninsured driver. They are looking for restitution but do not want to file through their insurance company. I advised them to contact civil court. 2100 WC Possible 10-55. Driver northbound on SR 205. Almost struck a semi head on. 2105 U11 Stopped vehicle at SR 205 Just north of Duglay Road. 2110 U11 Arrested juvenile driver, 16 years of age for OWI and possession of paraphernalia Bac 0.14.

Elmer Stewart was born in Van Wert, Ohio and one family member said it was Oct. 17, 1886 but that does not add up as his obituary which says he was 86 when he died Dec. 6, 1962. He would have been 76 per the date given by a family member. Elmer had a twin brother, Albert that preceded him in death.

Now through Monday, April 19, a Questionnaire Assistance Center will be open to answer any questions you may have on Census 2010. The Center will be located at the Churubusco Town Hall, 215 Home Avenue. The Center hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Downtown Churubusco changed its look as Sheets & Childs Funeral Home demolished a house beside the business to construct a parking area for their patrons.
The Town Council proposed an official Farmer’s Market for the 2009 season. The Council did not vote on the new ordinance but probably would at the next meeting.
A request was made for funds to repair the kitchen area of the fire station. The cost was approximately $250. The Council agreed to spend the money for the repairs.
The Town sold a decommissioned 2000 Crown Victoria police car. The winning bid was $1,800.
June and Milly Hanson announced the birth of their daughter, Ciera Morgan.

Three days after approving the employment of Mary Jane Bartrom as SGCS Business Manager, Superintendent Steve Darnell received a letter of withdrawal from Bartrom. The letter stated that after much reconsideration, it was in her family’s best interest that she stay with her current job at the State Board of Accounts. However, Darnell said he had a large pool of qualified applicants to pull from.
Churubusco Rotarians are preparing for their seventeenth Community and Scholarship Auction on Tuesday, March 16 at the Churubusco High School cafeteria. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a free will donation buffet supper and the auction will immediately follow.
