A former resident of Columbia City and Fort Wayne, he worked for Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne in the Dietary Department and as a custodian. He was employed at BRC and Dana-PTG, Columbia City, as a laborer, and at U.S. 30 & 69 Rest Area through Passages as a custodian. He was a member of Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church and a former volunteer fireman for Grabill and Arcola Fire Departments.
Survivors include his mother, Barbara Linnemeier of Columbia City; son, Joshua Lee Thomas (Geneva) Hook of Clarksville, Tenn., serving in the U.S. Army; brothers, Douglas D. (Billie) Hook of Fort Wayne and Terry (Donnette) Linnemeier of Avilla; sister, Tamara (Robert) Sunderland of Columbia City; grandson, Bryan Christopher Hook of Clarksville, Tenn.; fiance, Dawn M. Nichols of Churubusco and her children, Christopher A (Ciera) Stephens, Brent A. Beasley and Benjamin C. Nichols; a niece and nephew; and several aunts and uncles.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a paternal grandmother, Helen S. Hook, a half sister, Holly Hook and his second dad, Donald Linnemeier.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the funeral service immediately following calling at 2 p.m. Saturday at Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church, California Road, Fort Wayne with Pastor Bill Mueller officiating.
Memorials may be given in memory of Mr. Hook to Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Envelopes will be available at the church.
