CHEERS TO: The Busco cheerleaders for the awesome decorations in the high school commons for homecoming! You ladies outdid yourselves!

CHEERS AND GRATITUDE TO: Brandie for sitting with my daughter after her accident until my husband got there. You kept her calm during a very scary time. Thanks also to the Noble County Sheriff’s Department and all the first responders. Thankfully, no one was injured but that doesn’t make the entire situation any less terrifying.

A BIG CHEERS TO: The Churubusco Community for helping to raise $1354.00 during our MDA Roadblock on September 4 and 5. Also a special thanks to all the volunteers, C & A Tool, American Legion Post 157 and The Churubusco Police Department.

CHEERS TO: The United Way Day of Caring – Thank you to the team from Churubusco Chamber of Commerce that weeded and mulched Eagle Garden and the elementary school courtyard.  In addition, they painted all climbing playground equipment for our students!  Thank you, Chamber Members, for caring and sharing with our students and school!

CHEERS TO: Our WONDERFUL volunteer Fire Department and Chad Fulkerson for their quick response to the Churubusco Child Care Center’s fire alarm and bad a/c blower! You guys are Great! 

AND CHEERS TO: Casey Van Houten for returning to work and to Heather Noyes for coming in on her day off to help with evacuating the kids after hearing of the situation at Churubusco Child Care Center! You guys are Wonderful! AND CHEERS TO: The entire staff at Churubusco Child Care Center for doing what they do best- Taking Care of the Children!!!! You all are wonderful and it does not go unnoticed! We are thankful for all of you!

WHATABOUT: Calling Churubusco Child Care Center to get your tickets for our First Annual Fundraiser Auction on Thursday, October 7 at the Boy Scout Building. The Auction and Dinner will start at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and $25 at the door, and includes your non-formal dinner catered by Stephanie Krider. Childcare will be available at the center for $5 per child, which will include food and fun, for the parents wanting to attend the auction. Call Beth or Margie 693-2966 for tickets and let them know if you are going to use the childcare available!

Each Box Top is worth $.10, which is paid to schools in exchange for collected Box Tops. Box Tops can be turned in at CES and at Sav U Mor. AND WHATABOUT: Going to btfe.com for a chance to win 500,000 Bonus Box Tops for your child’s school?  That would be worth $50,000! The contest ends October 3, 2010.
