’Busco falls to Fairfield, 63-43

CHURUBUSCO — Churubusco’s boys basketball team lost to an experienced Fairfield squad Friday night, 63-43.

The Eagles led by two at halftime, 23-21, but weren’t able to sustain their defensive effort, as Fairfield rattled off 20 points in the third quarter and 22 in the fourth to come away with the win.

Eagle freshman Zane Burke scored 11 of his team-high 13 points in the first half. Other leading scorers were Luke McClure with seven points, Jackson Paul with six, and Garrett Horn and Brayton Bonar with four points apiece.
