Busco Cross Country

Churubusco changed their course this year and it is proving to be a challenging course to run.  The first home meet was held on September 8th with both high school and middle schools running.  The conditions were a little wet with some slipping and sliding.  Davon Geiger and Alex Eyer are setting the pace for the boys and girls.

The middle school team went to West Noble for their first meet.  Michael Hall is coaching this group of boys.  Unfortunately, there are no girls running this year.  Everyone was anxious for their first meet and did a great job.  One runner on the middle school team gives it his all at every meet….all his breakfast.  Alex Litch is the boys’ frontrunner.

Middle school ran at Indian Springs on Saturday.  This meet had approximately 25 middle schools participating. This was the largest invite the boys had attended.  There were two runners who beat their personal records by more than 30 seconds.  They all did a fantastic job.  Improvements are seen at each meet with this group of young runners.  The motto before each race is PMA – Positive Mental Attitude ~ improving your time.  They are being trained for the day that each of them moves up to the high school team.

Both teams head to West Noble on Saturday, September 19th.
