Dalton faced some pretty stiff competition as a rookie. Dalton races in the Econo-Rookie class, at Baer Field, which is a stock gasoline motor. He has been trying his hand at a dirt track, Stateline Speedway, with an alcohol motor. He raced there for the first time Labor Day weekend and had a sixth place finish. The alcohol motor is quite a bit faster than he is used to but he has taken to it very well. Dalton has excelled much more than anyone has expected at both tracks he has run at. Speaking to some other drivers they are impressed at his talent and one driver even told Dalton that he would put Dalton in any vehicle that he owns and let him race. At the age of seven, he has already earned the respect of the other racers.
Dalton plans on continuing his racing endeavor next year. When I asked him what he was most excited about next year, he replied, ” winning my first track championship.” If you would like more information about Brenneke racing, or if you are interested in sponsoring this young man, you can visit his website, www.daltonbrenneke.com.
