Boys Basketball Winter League

All sessions will run from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday in the middle and elementary school. There will be a total of eight sessions, November 7, 14 and 21, December 5, 12 and 19, and January 2 and 9.

The cost will be $45, which will include a reversible jersey and a Mad Ants Clinic along with a Mad Ants game for free. The Mad Ants Clinic will be held on Sunday, January 3, at the Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne from 2 to 3 p.m. The game will start at 5 p.m. League participants will get in free to the game, parents will get tickets at a reduced cost of $7.50 per ticket.

The purpose of the league is to teach fundamentals and help develop the basketball skills. Teams will be made up of a combined second and third grade team and a combined fourth and fifth grade team. Fundamentals and practice will take place from 8 to 8:40 a.m. with games from 8:45 to 10 a.m. Games will be two 18-minute halves with a running clock, subs every six minutes using a sub schedule to ensure equal playing time each game.

Volunteers are needed to help coach. A coaching clinic will be held on Monday, November 2 in the high school from 7 to 8:15 p.m. If you would like to help, or for more information contact Coach McBride at 260-409-9387 or Michael.McBride@nacs.k12.in.us.
