Alton Grimm

On September 9, 1960, he married Sandra Leonhardt at First Christian Church, Kendallville; she survives in Huntertown. He had lived in Huntertown for the last 47 years. He worked for five years at International Harvester, Fort Wayne, then worked for Stratoflex, Fort Wayne for over 30 years as a personell manager. He also drove school bus for 15 years for the Northwest Allen School district. He loved to be outdoors, looking at old classic cars, woodworking and spending time with his family. When his children were little, he was Cub Scout leader of Huntertown Pack 3055 and was a t-ball and softball coach.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra; son, Arian (Jennifer) Grimm of Churubusco; three daughters, Sherry (Steven) Mays of Kendallville, Terri (David) Uchtman of Fort Wayne and Loree and Richard Strong of LaOtto; nine grandchildren, Amber, Dylan, and Chase Mays, Alyssa, Jacob, and Kaitlyn Grimm, Rachel and Joshua Uchtman, and Destiny Strong; and one sister, Delores Treesh of Kendallville.

Funeral service is 11 a.m. today at Brazzell Funeral Homes, Avilla Chapel, 530 North Main St., Avilla.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Huntertown United Methodist Church or Riley Hospital For Children.
