CHURUBUSCO — Churubusco High School will play host to 19 schools — including a group from Virginia — for a show choir competition this Saturday.
The invitational begins at 8 a.m. and will end at about 11:30 p.m. with the night awards.
Choirs will perform in the morning for a chance to advance to the night show for finals.
Though Churubusco’s show choir won’t be competing, the singer-dancers will be performing.
New Generation, the school’s junior high choir, will take the stage at the daytime awards, which begin at 6:20 p.m. The high school’s New Era will perform before the night awards, which is expected to be about 11 p.m.
The cost to get in is $15 for the day, or $10 for a pass to only the day show or night show. Payment is cash only, no credit card accepted.
The school’s cafeteria will provide snacks to visitors, such as a coffee bar and Ben’s Soft Pretzels.
There will also be a vendor selling T-shirts.
The school from Virginia, Clover High School, will bring three choirs.
Other schools competing are Miami, Eastside, Woodside/Summit, Carroll, Maple Creek, Fairfield, Bishop Dwenger, Homestead and Garrett.
