100 years of Boy Scouts

Churubusco resident, Roger Bayford, left, presented a token dating back to 1910-1916 that was issued to promote sales of Boy Scout shoes by the Excelsior Shoe Company of Portsmouth, Ohio. Bayford found the token while metal detecting on North Line Street in August. He presented the coin to Churubusco Boy Scout Troop 81 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America.
